Nathan R. Maki

Overview

Nate Maki works closely with technology companies to develop and execute global patent strategies that maximize protection of valuable intellectual assets.

Nate has drafted and successfully prosecuted patent applications related to cellular networks, volatile and non-volatile storage devices, platform and resource virtualization, clean technologies, storage networks and optical systems. His experience allows him to quickly identify the innovative concepts embodied in his clients’ complex technologies and effectively capture and communicate these inventive concepts in patent applications and prosecution.

Before joining Schwabe, Nate worked in the Patent Prosecution Group at Intel Corporation, where he was involved in offensive and defensive licensing and patent prosecution. Nate’s industry experience helps him understand the client perspective on intellectual property assets and processes, and provide practical, timely counsel.
