Joanna Lee


Joanna Lee helps companies develop and implement intellectual property strategies, manage risk wisely and structure their contractual relationships to support their business goals. Joanna is a lawyer by training but a geek at heart, with a knack for transitioning between legalese, business objectives, and technospeak.

Joanna assists clients with commercial and intellectual property transactions and litigation, as well as data security and privacy risk management issues. Her intellectual property work includes patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret protection, licensing, transfers and litigation. In the Internet space, she helps clients navigate the rules governing online commerce, advertising, contests, sweepstakes and promotions, along with privacy and data security issues. Finally, Joanna advises on domestic and international commercial transactions, joint ventures and collaboration agreements, and on corporate structuring and governance.

Joanna counsels clients of all sizes and stages of growth, from pre-revenue start-ups to mature public companies. She works with a range of industries and technologies including software, electronics, advanced manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, food and beverage, clean tech and consumer products.
