Loaves and Fishes
Loaves & Fishes is a nonprofit,
nonsectarian organization that provides hot, nutritious
meals to seniors 60 years and older. Hot noon meals
are delivered by volunteers each weekday to homebound
seniors. Loaves & Fishes also serves a noon
lunch to more active seniors at 15 meal centers
throughout the Portland metro area.

The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's
largest voluntary health organization dedicated
to funding blood cancer research, education and
patient services. The Society's mission: Cure leukemia,
lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve
the quality of life of patients and their families.
Since its founding in 1949, the Society has invested
more than $360 million for research specifically
targeting blood cancers.

Friends of the Children
Friends of the Children is a national non-profit
headquartered in Portland and founded in 1993 by
Duncan Campbell. There are now seven Chapters nationwide.
The Portland Chapter currently provides 275 of Portland’s
most vulnerable and challenged children a loving,
nurturing and sustained relationship with an adult
role model, the child’s mentor. The program
selects children in kindergarten and makes a 13-year
commitment to each child.

Clackamas
Women's Services
Since 1985, Clackamas Women's Services (CWS) has
sheltered over 6,750 battered women and children
within its walls - a home that is safe and welcoming
; a place of refuge, not a place of fear. CWS provides
the only two emergency shelters for survivors of
domestic and sexual violence in Clackamas County,
Oregon. Their crisis hotline is staffed by trained
volunteers & CWS personnel who provide support,
information on restraining orders, other resources,
and just listen when someone needs to talk. Currently,
they are building their capacity to help more women
and children find a safe haven from violence.
