Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently bolstered its Transportation and Maritime Practice with the addition of David Boyajian as an associate in its Portland office.

Prior to joining Schwabe, Boyajian practiced law in San Francisco. He will continue to focus his practice in the area of transportation and maritime law. He has experience in the areas of cargo, longshore, Jones Act and LHWCA, Rule B attachment, toxic torts, maritime liens, collision and allision, marine insurance, and employment and general civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Boyajian was named a 2010 Rising Star in Transportation and Maritime Law for Northern California by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers Magazine. He graduated from Tulane University Law School with a juris doctor degree and a certificate of specialization in maritime law. While at Tulane, Boyajian served as a managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He also studied abroad at the University of Amsterdam focusing on international criminal law and human rights.

Boyajian also holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master of Sail, Power and Assistance Tow license.
