Anne Talcott, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently received the Richard H. Krochock Award from the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

Talcott is deeply involved with DRI as a member and has held numerous leadership positions within the organization. Most recently, she served as chair of DRI’s 2011 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The meeting is an international event that draws some of the best and brightest attorneys defending companies in litigation. As Meeting Chair, Talcott was able to secure both President Bill Clinton and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia as keynote speakers.

The Richard H. Krochock Award honors an individual who has: provided exemplary leadership to the DRI Young Lawyers Committee through sponsorship or participation in its programs and activities; provided guidance, support and service as a mentor to the members of the Young Lawyers Committee; and has promoted those qualities that enhance the public image of the civil defense trial lawyer. DRI is an international organization of attorneys who defend the interests of businesses and individuals in civil litigation.

Talcott focuses her practice on complex business and product liability litigation. She defends a broad range of clients in business disputes, class actions, mass torts, and automotive, pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation.
