This month, the Seattle office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt added Vladimir Raskin as an associate.

Dr. Raskin will focus his practice in the area of intellectual property. He has a wealth of experience in patent prosecution and counseling, including patent drafting, prosecution, and procurement of U.S. and foreign patents in the fields of telecommunications, electrical engineering, electronics, Internet, software, and mechanical technologies.

Dr. Raskin comes to Schwabe with an extensive technical background in the electrical engineering and telecommunications field having a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and telecommunications from Moscow Transport University in Moscow, Russia. Prior to his legal career, Dr. Raskin worked as a system and functional analyst at AT&T Wireless Services in Redmond, Wash. He also worked as an assistant professor at Moscow Transport University, where he conducted research and development on automatic control systems on railroads. He also taught graduate-level courses on electrical engineering and telecommunications.

Dr. Raskin graduated from the University of Washington School of Law with a juris doctor degree in the intellectual property law concentration track.
