Michael Herbst, a shareholder in the Seattle office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently was elected to serve as a vice president of the International Alliance of Law Firms. As a vice president, Herbst will sit on the Alliance’s Executive Committee.

The International Alliance of Law Firms provides member firms and their clients with legal services in major business centers worldwide. Formed as a nonprofit association more than 20 years ago, its members collaborate to ensure clients receive attentive and personalized service wherever legal needs arise.

Herbst focuses his practice in the areas of corporate and commercial business transactions for privately held businesses. He has extensive experience in commercial lending, corporate formation, mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations and dispositions of businesses. He also acts as outside general counsel for privately held companies. Herbst graduated from New York University School of Law with a juris doctor degree in 1988.
