Anne Talcott, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently was selected to serve on the Defense Research Institute (DRI) 2012 Nominating Committee.

The five-person Nominating Committee will convene at DRI’s Annual Meeting this October to select DRI’s future president and incoming board members. Talcott is one of only two at-large members on the 2012 Nominating Committee.

Talcott is deeply involved with DRI as a member and has held numerous leadership positions within the organization. Most recently, she received DRI’s Richard H. Krochock Award and served as chair of DRI’s 2011 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The meeting is an international event that draws some of the best and brightest attorneys defending companies in litigation. As Meeting Chair, Talcott was able to secure both President Bill Clinton and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia as keynote speakers.

Talcott focuses her practice on complex business and product liability litigation. She defends a broad range of clients in business disputes, class actions, mass torts, and automotive, pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation.
