Mark Stayer, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected to the board of directors of Portland Golf Club.

Portland Golf Club is dedicated to providing a golf course enjoyable for players of all levels of ability. Its vision is to be one of the premier member-owned golf clubs in the Pacific Northwest, providing its membership and their families an outstanding golf and clubhouse experience.

Although Stayer serves as corporate counsel to a number of businesses in the local community, his practice has evolved over the years to include a broad representation of commercial real estate owners and timber investment management organizations. He is recognized by leading attorney rating agencies, including Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Oregon Super Lawyers, and he was recently named as the 2013 Lawyer of the Year in timber law for the Portland-metro area by U.S. News – Best Lawyers in America. Stayer is a former City of Lake Oswego Planning Commissioner and a former chair of the law firm’s Land Department and Real Estate & Land Use practice group.
