Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently announced Christopher Howard, a shareholder in the firm’s Seattle office, as the 2013 recipient of the John L. Schwabe Client Service Award.

Each year, the Schwabe firm presents its John L. Schwabe Client Service Award to an attorney in the firm who goes “above and beyond” in his or her dedication and service to firm clients. Recipients of the award are nominated by their colleagues and then selected by the firm’s Client Service Committee.

“Chris selflessly gives his time, counsel, and compassion not only to his clients but to his colleagues as well,” said Troy Greenfield, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Seattle office. “He has significantly advanced the culture of our firm, as well as the quality of service that we provide to our clients.”

In addition to receiving peer recognition, the firm makes a $1,000 donation to the nonprofit or charitable organization of the award recipient’s choice. Howard has chosen Reed College in memory of his father (Reed, ’51), whose ashes rest in the foundation of the school’s new performing arts building scheduled to open this summer. Both of Howard’s parents attended Reed.

Howard focuses his practice on commercial litigation and the defense of professionals in the medical, legal, financial, hospitality and real estate industries. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in state, federal and administrative law courts. He currently serves as the practice group leader for the firm’s general litigation group. Howard has been recognized by Washington Super Lawyers (2007-2012, 2001) and was on the Top 100 Washington Super Lawyers list (2010-2011). He received his juris doctor degree from Stanford Law School and his bachelor of arts degree from Johns Hopkins University.
