Bruce Howell, shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, will teach “Healthcare ‎Law: The Affordable Care Act”‎ as an adjunct professor of law at the Willamette University College of Law starting Tuesday, January 7, 2014.

‎”The Affordable Care Act will substantially affect how healthcare providers, hospitals, and ‎insurers, among others, operate,” says Norman Williams, the Associate Dean for Academic ‎Affairs at Willamette University. “We at Willamette are excited that Mr. Howell will be ‎teaching a course about such a timely and important subject; Mr. Howell’s course on the ACA ‎is among the first of its kind in the nation.”‎

Howell focuses his practice on various aspects of health law, including reimbursement, fraud and abuse, physician practice management issues, and the Affordable Care Act of 2010. He also handles cases involving genetics, organ transplant technology, reproductive technology, and clinical research.
