Schwabe,
Williamson & Wyatt is one of the top law firms serving
the needs of businesses in the Pacific Northwest, providing
a broad range of transactional and litigation services to
the Northwest's leading companies.
For five consecutive years, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt
has ranked among the top five best corporate law firms in
the Portland metropolitan area, according to a national survey
conducted by Corporate Board Member magazine. Additionally,
Schwabe has been identified as one of the 100
Best Companies to Work For in Oregon by Oregon Business
magazine for three years in a row.
Much of our continued success at Schwabe is a result of our
ability to attract, train and retain the most capable attorneys
who have a common interest in both the legal profession and
in providing superior service to clients. At Schwabe, our
attorneys are strongly encouraged to continue developing their
legal and client service skills. We have a program called
Client University, where we provide an ongoing forum for learning
about the unique needs of our individual clients.
Lateral attorneys are an integral part of our firm's culture
and success. Schwabe encourages lateral attorneys to quickly
become strong and contributing members of our attorney team
and work-place environment. Schwabe develops an integration
plan for each lateral attorney, focusing on that attorney's
individual strengths and needs. Our lateral integration program
is designed to help new lawyers with a smooth transition,
and includes scheduled meetings with lawyers with complementary
practice areas, social events, teaming new lawyers with mentors,
supervisors and peer groups (if appropriate), and training
in firm technology and practices.
Schwabe is known for its community involvement and leadership.
The firm's attorneys currently serve in volunteer leadership
positions in over 100 nonprofit organizations and industry
associations. In 1991, Schwabe became the founder and provided
the funding for a low-income legal clinic that serves the
Hispanic population in east Multnomah County. Attorneys from
the firm volunteer their time at the legal clinic on a weekly
basis.
Schwabe seeks out highly motivated attorneys to become outstanding
members of the legal profession as part of the Schwabe team.
At Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, we promote a work environment
that is both challenging and rich in professional satisfaction.
Our attorneys share a deep commitment to their careers, to
the firm's standards and goals and to dynamic representation
of our clients’ interests. In return, we provide an
environment in which that dedication is strongly supported
and allowed to flourish.
