Since joining Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 2000, Ms. Pentheny has practiced as a Legal Secretary and is currently a trademark and copyright Paralegal assisting IP attorneys. Her experience includes managing attorney's court, trademark and patent dockets, and court filings in Federal, State and Appeal Courts, and focusing on all aspects of trademark and copyright prosecution. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pentheny was a Legal Assistant specializing in family law and criminal defense for Corden Hale & Hale in Portland.
While serving in the United States Army, Ms. Pentheny served as an Electronic Warfare Signal Intelligence Analyst in Germany. She received military intelligence technical training at Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas and at Fort Devens in Massachusetts. She was trained as a linguist at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.
Professional & Community Activities
Ms. Pentheny is an active member of the International Trademark Association, the Oregon Paralegal Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Ms. Pentheny is currently on the firm's Paralegal Development Committee, and has participated in the Membership Committee of the Oregon Paralegal Association.
Ms. Pentheny assists Schwabe attorneys who work with the Oregon Law Center and East County Legal Clinic providing pro bono legal work to qualified applicants.
Ms. Pentheny was a volunteer secretary for the Taste of the Nation Steering Committee. She also volunteered has a camp counselor for Camp UKANDU and Camp Cispus, both in Washington. Camp UKANDU, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is a camp for children living with cancer and their siblings.
