Professional Experience
Jamila Johnson joined Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 2007. A Seattle native, Ms. Johnson primarily practices in commercial and property litigation. She has represented clients in lawsuits involving environmental contamination, eminent domain and homeowner association disputes.

Prior to joining Schwabe, Ms. Johnson spent four years as an intern at Microsoft. She then went on to hold a number of positions as a writer and editorial assistant in the mass communications industry. In 2006, Ms. Johnson obtained a fellowship with the Elections Division of the Secretary of State's Office working on their legislative agenda. In addition to her position as an associate with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, Ms. Johnson is currently the Editor for De Novo, the official publication of the Washington Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division.

Ms. Johnson pays particular attention to the way technology can help or hurt clients during litigation and has been quoted on the changing landscape in U.S. News & World Report. In 2008, the Rutgers Computer & Technology Journal referenced her publication about advising clients on employee internet misuse as one of the most important and timely articles of the year about computers, technology and the law in the sub-category of Internet Crime.

Professional & Community Activities
Jamila Johnson was the Editor-In-Chief for the Shidler Journal of Law Commerce & Technology from 2006 through 2007. During law school she also obtained clinical legal experience with Innocence Project Northwest and represented the University of Washington at the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition and the regional Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition.

Currently, Ms. Johnson is a member of the William L. Dwyer Inns of Court, Loren Miller Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Ms. Johnson is active in the University Of Washington School Of Law Alumni Association, and serves as a mentor for University of Washington law students. She is a proud resident of West Seattle and serves on the High Point Community Center Advisory Council. She also helps support community art, literature and film organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
