Professional Experience Tammy Armentrout is a highly skilled paralegal with over 30 years of complex litigation experience in the areas of product liability, drug and medical device liability, personal injury, securities and environmental contamination. She has designed and implemented case management systems for mass tort, complex litigation involved in breast implant, asbestos and diet drug litigation. She has served as case managing paralegal for the regional defense and trial counsel teams for one of the key defendants in the Pacific Northwest's high-profile breast implant litigation which involved more than 1,200 plaintiffs, in both state and federal court.
Ms. Armentrout has managed numerous small to medium-sized cases as well as larger multimillion dollar cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of matters, including a precedent-setting government immunity issue, Superfund site cleanup, contract disputes with multinational firms, and wrongful death cases. She also has proficiency in e-discovery, having designed, administered, and trained other paralegals and attorneys in a customized e-discovery program. Prior to joining Schwabe, she served as a senior paralegal for Bullivant Houser Bailey.
Ms. Armentrout has also served as a consultant to other law firms, implementing document and case management systems, including software selection and best practices. She is the coauthor of the book, "The Litigation Support Guide," and is a regular speaker at litigation support seminars. She is a Summation Certified Trainer, and provides training on all other litigation support software as well.
