Professional Experience
Matthew Wilmot is an intellectual property attorney specializing in trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, trade secret, copyright, domain name issues, and litigation of complex intellectual property matters. His practice focuses on searching and clearing trademarks, prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications, development and maintenance of trademark portfolios, intellectual property licensing and agreements, copyright and trademark counseling, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Mr. Wilmot has successfully represented clients in intellectual property litigation matters in both state and federal courts, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to joining Schwabe, Mr. Wilmot was an associate at Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue, LLP.

Since 2009, Mr. Wilmot has been named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction that recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Wilmot is a member of the Intellectual Property and Business Litigation sections of the Oregon State Bar. He is also a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and the International Trademark Association. Mr. Wilmot also serves on the Good Government Committee of the Oregon Business Association.
