Kirk Johansen, a shareholder who works in both the Portland and Bend offices of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of High Desert Museum.

Through exhibits, wildlife and living history, High Desert Museum creates learning experiences to help audiences discover their connection to the past, their role in the present, and their responsibility to the future. The Museum seeks to enable a deeper understanding of Central Oregon’s art, culture, history and natural sciences through the presentation and interpretation of visual art exhibits, historical artifacts, living history performances and wildlife encounters.

Johansen devotes the majority of his practice to clients in the forest products industry. He has served on numerous other civic and charitable boards of directors throughout the years. Johansen graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law with a juris doctor degree.
