Bill Love honored by state bar association

Every year at the Oregon State Bar’s annual convention, the bar honors its members who have reached 50 years of membership. At a luncheon on October 5, Schwabe shareholder Bill Love was among those honored for 50 years of service to the profession. Asked what advice he would pass on to todays new lawyers, Love said, "The importance of patience — the favorable contacts you make today with other attorneys and clients are likely to pay dividends tomorrow (be it 5 or 10 years or more)."

Since coming to Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 1983, Bill Love has combined his legal and business experience to develop a strong practice in the representation of financial institutions, emphasizing banking and savings and loan institutions. Prior to joining Schwabe, he served for 13 years as chairman and chief executive officer of a four-state, billion-dollar savings and loan association, and 13 years as a lawyer in private practice. He served on the law faculty at the University of Washington School of Law from 1952-56.
