Katherine Tank, a shareholder in the central Oregon office of regional law firm, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected chairperson of the Central Oregon Employer Council (COEC).
"Katherine is constantly going above and beyond in her service to the local community and we are excited to see her elected chair of the COEC," said Mark Long, managing partner at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt.
COEC is a nonprofit partnership between central Oregon employers and the Oregon Employment Department (OED), which seeks to foster and promote cooperative relationships among employers and the OED.
Katherine Tank focuses her practice in the areas of employment law and litigation, employment relations, labor, and business law and litigation. Tank is a noted speaker, conducting labor and employment law seminars for human resource managers, supervisors and lawyers.
Tank is the past 2003 president of the Human Resources Association of Central Oregon (HRACO), a local chapter of the national Society for Human Resource Management, and is a regular guest on Good Morning Central Oregon where she discusses various employment-related topics. In addition, she was voted Human Resources Professional of the Year by the HRACO membership in 2004, and received the Oregon Employer Council's 2008 Outstanding Service Award.
