This year, 38 attorneys from Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt have been listed on the Oregon Super Lawyers® roster and an additional 19 attorneys have been named Rising Stars. Annually, the Super Lawyers® list recognizes outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Rising Stars list names the state's top up-and-coming attorneys. Both lists are sponsored by Law & Politics magazine.
"We are extraordinarily proud of all the attorneys that made these lists," said Mark Long, Schwabe's managing partner. "We could not be more excited to see so many talented attorneys from Schwabe represented on these lists."
The Schwabe attorneys recognized for the Super Lawyers® list were chosen for their depth and expertise in practice areas including business litigation, construction litigation, employment and labor, estate planning and probate, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, transportation and maritime, and others.

To select the Rising Star attorneys each year, Law & Politics polls Oregon's Super Lawyers® to identify up-and-coming attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing law for ten or fewer years. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers®, no more than 2.5 percent receive the distinction of being named to the Rising Stars list.

ABOUT SUPER LAWYERS® The Super Lawyers® list is published by Law & Politics and distributed as an insert in leading newspapers and regional magazines across the country. More than 60 practice areas are covered. To select attorneys for the list, Law & Politics uses a multistep selection process that takes approximately nine months. The foundation of the selection process is a survey sent to all lawyers who have been in practice for at least five years in states where the survey is conducted. In addition to the survey, Law & Politics researches credentials of nominees, assembles a blue-ribbon review panel of leading attorneys from each practice area, directly contacts lawyers and law firm representatives, verifies data and conducts a good-standing review of candidates.
