Caring.
Supportive. Engaged.
These terms are not often used to describe
business attorneys who go to great lengths to protect their clients'
interests. Yet these terms epitomize the style of client service
provided by the women attorneys in Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt's
Seattle office.
We pride ourselves on learning our clients' business, earning
their trust and dedicating ourselves to working collaboratively
with them. With that in mind, the women attorneys at Schwabe hold
Women in Business events because we find that is the best way
to get to know our clients better. It also gives guests an opportunity
to collaborate among themselves and hear stories of successes
and lessons learned, and just to have fun together. We also host
a number of different seminars on substantive legal issues to
give people some practical advice on issues that they may encounter
on a regular basis.
It is all about bringing people together, connecting, and building
relationships with our clients. We don’t want to just solve
the problem that you are having that day; we want to look at the
big picture to see how we can help you be successful in the long
run. We are there to share your successes, not just to help you
when you have struggles.
Examples of our Women in Business Programs and Oportunities:
Professional and Business Development Programs.
The Women in Business group brings together a diverse group of
successful women in business for a discussion, reception and opportunity
to network and exchange ideas. Recent events have highlighted
the bold business moves and secrets to success by Melody
Biringer (the owner/licensor of Crave
Party!, licensee of Ladies
Who Launch Seattle and owner/operator of Startupjunkie)
and Pam Gray and Rochelle Alhadeff (the creative women behind
Chat With Women Radio Show and Chat Party!).
Sponsorships. We are proud to promote events
that focus on women's issues. We've sponsored events hosted by
Crave Party!, Ladies
Who Launch and Chat
with Women. We've co-hosted various events with other women
professionals, such as the women financial advisors of Laird
Norton Tyee.
Seminars. The women attorneys of SW&W regularly
speak on legal issues at the request of clients and referral contacts.
Topics include: employment law, trademarks and copyrights, contract
law and the top ten business challenges faced by women.
Community Service. We care deeply about our
community. Some recent examples include partnering with Dress
for Success-Seattle to co-sponsor various fundraisers for
the organization. Attendees at our Women in Business events have
also been able to suppport Dress for Success and women in the
Puget Sound area by donating new and gently used items. Recently,
we coordinated the annual donation drive of formal wear to benefit
low income high school students for Ruby
Room.
