Virginia Nicholson, an associate in the Seattle office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently voted onto the board of directors for Family Law Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of King County.

“Family Law CASA serves a special mission of helping at-risk youth and I am excited to see the positive influence Virginia will make as a new board member,” said Mark Long, managing partner for Schwabe.

Nicholson focuses her practice in the area of commercial litigation. She transitioned to a legal career after 10 years of experience working with network and messaging technology for prominent local IT firms. She is a member of the Washington State and King County bar associations. Nicholson graduated from Seattle University School of Law with a juris doctor degree.

Family Law CASA is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the needs of children in high-risk custody cases in King County. The organization’s mission is to recruit, train, supervise and support community volunteers who are appointed to investigate custody and visitation disputes in order to give children the voice in court that they deserve.
