Darien Loiselle, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, has been named the 2013 recipient of the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Kathleen Eldridge Award.

Each year, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) presents its Kathleen Eldridge Award to a person who demonstrates superior dedication to and participation within the organization. The award is named after Kathleen Eldridge, who joined ABC’s Pacific Northwest Chapter in 1975 and became a very active member and leader of the association. Eldridge remains a Lifetime Member of the chapter.

“Darien’s hard work and dedication to ABC over the years represents the true meaning of the Kathleen Eldridge ‎Award,” said Laurie Kendall, ABC’s Director of Member Services. Loiselle is an active member and serves as general counsel to Associated Builders and Contractors.

Associated Builders and Contractors is a national association with 72 chapters representing 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

Loiselle leads a comprehensive construction practice for Schwabe’s Construction and Design Group in the Pacific Northwest. He represents owners, general contractors, designers and engineers, and specialty contractors. He has extensive experience negotiating agreements, solving complex disputes, and representing clients in litigation on major construction projects.

Loiselle also served as general counsel to the Oregon-Columbia Chapter of Associated General Contractors (AGC) in 2010, is a board member of AGC’s Foundation Board, and is the immediate past chair for the Construction Section of the Oregon State Bar. Loiselle has been recognized by Thomson Reuters for inclusion in the Oregon Super Lawyers list. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.
