The Portland office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently expanded its intellectual property group with the addition of Wes Parker.

“Wes is an energetic young attorney who definitely proved himself during his time as a summer associate with Schwabe,” said Mark Long, Schwabe’s managing partner.  “I look forward to the many contributions he will make on behalf of our clients and to the firm.”

Parker is a recent graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law where he earned his juris doctor degree.  He was most recently a summer associate in 2009 at Schwabe’s Portland office where he worked with the patent group.  Parker will focus his practice in the area of intellectual property.

Prior to joining Schwabe, Parker gained experience through a variety of externships and fellowships.  In the fall of 2008, he was a full-time extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge John Acosta.  And in the summer of 2008, he was part of a fellowship through the University of Oregon’s Technology Entrepreneurship Program.
