Dan Eller, an associate in the Portland office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected to the board of trustees of the Oregon and Southwest Washington Idaho Montana Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

“Dan is a very active attorney who has continually been recognized for his achievements,” said Mark Long, managing partner at Schwabe. “I look forward to seeing him put his skills to work for the local chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.”

The LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The organization’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, in addition to improving the overall quality of life of patients and families.

Eller focuses his practice in the areas of tax and business law. He advises clients with both transactional and controversy matters. His transactional practice has its emphases on real property development transaction structuring; renewable-energy tax credits and grants utilization; and tax-exempt entity formation, qualification, and operation.

For the last two years, Eller has been named as a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics magazine. He also is a LEED Green Associate, accredited through the Green Building Certification Institute. Eller graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School with a juris doctor degree and the University of Washington School of Law with a master of laws in taxation.
