Troy Greenfield has been named Partner in Charge of the Seattle office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt. Greenfield brought his national commercial trial practice to Schwabe in 2011. His legal practice is focused on intellectual property, securities and bankruptcy-creditors’ rights litigation. Prior to joining Schwabe, Greenfield was managing shareholder of the Seattle office of Bullivant Houser Bailey.

Greenfield’s role is a new leadership strategy for the firm that is comprised of more than 165 attorneys regionally, of which 32 are in Seattle. Previously, three attorneys managed the Seattle office by committee. According to Schwabe Managing Partner, Mark Long, consolidating the responsibilities of local firm leadership in Seattle helps the firm strategically address the changing legal landscape that is the result of shifting client needs, increased competition, non-traditional competition and the demands of global commerce.

The Seattle attorneys serve the transactional and litigation needs of clients with business and legal matters related to intellectual property, financing, real estate acquisition and development, corporate formation and governance, employment, products liability and maritime. The Seattle client list includes Fortune 500, emerging and privately held businesses.

Greenfield is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, listed among Washington Super Lawyers, a Top Lawyer in intellectual property according to Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and his been honored with anAV Preeminent Peer Review from Martindale-Hubble. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and its Intellectual Property, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Litigation Sections, as well as the Oregon State Bar Association and its Litigation Section. Greenfield is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

He graduated from Willamette University College of Law with a juris doctor degree and holds a bachelor of arts degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife and two children and serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.
