How I represent clients at Schwabe

My practice spans several key industries in Alaska, including Indian Country and Alaska Native corporations, maritime, healthcare, and education. I advise and defend healthcare entities in regulatory, employment, and operational matters and counsel school districts on governance, tort liability, and special education matters. Recognized for my work in special education law, I regularly assist educational institutions in navigating complex legal and compliance challenges.

I also advise clients on the legal risks associated with artificial intelligence, including the growing number of lawsuits filed by self-represented litigants using AI-generated materials. By identifying key legal issues early, I have successfully secured dismissals in many of these cases.

Understanding each client’s unique goals is central to my practice. I provide practical, strategic guidance tailored to each client’s needs, helping them proactively manage risk while remaining prepared to protect their interests when disputes or litigation arise.
