Award recognizes Schwabe attorney’s commitment to advancing diversity

Six attorneys in the Portland office of Northwest regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently received the Champions Award at the Oregon State Bar’s  2011 Convocation on Equality.  The Schwabe attorneys honored were Dave Bartz, Jr., Bill Crow, Román Hernández, Peter Ricoy, Angela Sagalewicz and Ali Seals.

The Convocation on Equality was held on November 4, 2011, and was a day-long conference created by the Bar along with the collaborative efforts of many organizations and individuals who have a unified mission of promoting diversity and inclusion in Oregon’s legal profession.  This event marked the 10-year anniversary since the first Convocation on Equality.

Recipients of the Champions Award demonstrate a commitment to advancing diversity and making the community an even better place to live and practice law.  More than 300 Oregon lawyers received distinction this year.  These honorees were solicited from the community, and legal and non-legal organizations, such as law firms, nonprofits, community organizations, groups, and individuals.
