Schwabe Is Showing Pride and Support for LGBTQ+ in 2021
Schwabe is excited to share that we are adopting a rainbow-colored logo for the month of June to show our support for our LGBTQ+ attorneys, staff, clients, and communities. Each June, Pride Month is observed, commemorating the Stonewall riots of 1969, when patrons tired of harassment fought back against police at the Stonewall Inn in New York.
We are thankful to the organizations that we have been able to collaborate with and offer pro bono legal representation services for in the pursuit of equal rights for all. Our work with Basic Rights Oregon and ACLU of Oregon is both rewarding and necessary to create a more equitable and inclusive world.
The pandemic has taught us that we need to be there for each other. The day we plan to return to in-office togetherness is circled on our calendars. Since we can’t fully celebrate in person yet, we’re seizing this opportunity to recognize and celebrate the talented LGBTQ+ humans of Schwabe and the communities where we live and work.
While we understand that changing Schwabe’s logo for pride month is only a tiny gesture to our LGBTQ+ attorneys, staff, and clients, we want you to know we see you, we support you, and we are here for you.
