The best time to protect an idea is now! I work hard to protect your idea, from its conception, through implementation, and evolution. So let’s get started!
How I represent clients at Schwabe
I joined Schwabe after 16 years of working with Intel Corporation. I have been deeply involved with technology most of my life, starting with the IMSAI 8080 when I was ten, then getting my BA and MA in Computer Science from Boston University. I then attended Harvard Law to set the foundation for a career in law and technology that has spanned over two decades.
I currently focus my intellectual property (IP) practice on software and Internet patents. My patent experiences over the years span diverse focus areas, and include worldwide portfolio development, analysis, targeted patenting, acquisitions, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Open Source, government contracting, US and non-US government-sponsored research, and patent prosecution.
My position as Attorney at Schwabe allows me to focus my work on select intellectual property generation and protection issues while also investing time in supporting my community. Diversity and pro bono have both been a longtime passion of mine. I first did clinical pro bono work while attending Harvard Law School and was part of Intel’s Volunteer Lawyers Program for eight years. I am also committed to participating in diversity activities, and I served on Intel’s Black Leadership Council as a leadership coach for eight years.
**Admitted to practice only in Massachusetts and the USPTO. Supervised by shareholders in the Portland office.
