Charmin Shiely, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt, was recently appointed to serve on the board of the ‎YMCA of Columbia-Willamette.‎

The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette offers a diverse range of quality and affordable programs that help children ‎thrive and grow, inspire young people to lead, bring families closer together and encourage individual health and ‎wellness. The Y is a volunteer-driven charitable nonprofit.‎

Shiely has participated in the YMCA’s Strong Communities Campaign for six years and has three children who ‎are or have been in the YMCA’s childcare program.

Shiely focuses her practice in the areas of business ‎transactions, corporate finance and commercial finance. She is experienced in public and private mergers, public offerings and ‎private placements, asset sales, securities law advising, and commercial finance. She frequently advises on structuring executive and equity compensation and business transition planning. Shiely also focuses ‎on transactions in the maritime industry, including vessel build contracts, vessel sales, vessel financing, charter ‎parties and port leases. Shiely received her Juris Doctor degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, ‎School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Duke University.‎‎
