Jennifer Campbell, an attorney in the Seattle office of regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was recently elected as treasurer of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL). She will serve a one-year term.

“Jenn has been a steadfast leader in the WDTL over the past seven years, heading several committees and serving as secretary,” said Dave Bartz, President of Schwabe. “I know she is passionate about the organization and will do a terrific job as treasurer.”

The mission of the WDTL is to promote the highest professional and ethical standards for Washington civil defense attorneys and to serve its members through education, recognition, collegiality, professional development, and advocacy.

“We have a strong board in place and I think there is a real opportunity for the organization to increase fund-raising and adopt the use of new technologies to make WDTL offerings more accessible to members,” said Campbell. “I look forward to pursuing these priorities during my term as treasurer and continuing my work with the board in producing the great receptions, continuing legal education seminars (CLEs), and networking events the WDTL is known for.”

Campbell focuses her practice in Washington and Oregon on complex litigation matters, including product liability, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, food liability, and toxic torts, including benzene and asbestos claims. She serves as co-lead for Schwabe’s Business and Product Liability practice group.

In addition to her role with the WDTL, Campbell is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Seattle Rotary, Risk Insurance Management Society, Washington State Bar Association, and King County Bar Association. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and her juris doctor degree, summa cum laude, from the Seattle University School of Law.
