We are pleased to announce <ahref=”http: showattorney.aspx?show=”13985″” www.schwabe.com=””>Sarah Roubidoux Lawson has joined Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt’s nationally-recognized Indian law practice group. 

“The firm is excited about the extensive experience and insight that Sarah brings to our growing Indian law practice,” said Mark Long, Managing Partner at Schwabe. 

Lawson brings over a decade of experience in Indian law. She has advised tribal governments on a variety of matters, including tax, real estate, and employment matters, and taught courses on the history of federal Indian policy, rights of tribes, Indian self-determination and legal studies at Northwest Indian College. She is an enrolled member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. 

Lawson is an Appellate Judge for the Northwest Intertribal Court System and a member of the boards of the Northwest Indian Bar Association and National Tribal Land Association. She is Past President of the Board of Directors for Red Eagle Soaring Native Youth Theater. 

Prior to joining Schwabe, Lawson served as General Counsel for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe, Trust Services Director for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, and Assistant Attorney General for the Tohono O’Odham Nation in Sells, Arizona. Lawson received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, and is admitted to practice in Washington, Wisconsin and Arizona.
