How I represent clients at Schwabe

I approach each client relationship with genuine curiosity, seeking to understand not just the facts of a case, but the people and businesses behind them. When disputes lead to litigation, I work closely with clients to develop clear, practical strategies aimed at achieving their goals and supporting lasting resolutions.

My practice serves individuals and businesses across Alaska, providing both legal counsel and courtroom representation. Alongside my legal experience, I have a strong natural resources background gained through a legal fellowship I completed after law school, the O’Hara Honors Program. After completing the O’Hara Honors Program I clerked for the Federal District Court of Alaska. Before joining Schwabe, I honed my litigation and transactional skills at a boutique law firm in Anchorage, where I drafted pleadings and motions, and managed contracts, purchase and sale agreements, and performed title work.

Experience

  • Drafted pleadings, and motions including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment which received favorable rulings in Alaska Superior Court.
  • Successfully removed clouds on title to real property which facilitated ownership transfer.
  • Drafted contracts as well as purchase and sale agreements for several local Alaska businesses.
  • Represented the Utah Department of Natural Resources in formal adjudications and appeals
  • Served as hearing officer for informal adjudications involving wildlife related crimes where I determined whether an individual should have their wildlife privileges suspended, and if so the length of suspension that was appropriate.
