How I represent clients at Schwabe
| I help individuals and families protect what matters most to them through thoughtful, carefully tailored estate planning. I believe that advocating for clients begins with truly understanding their goals, and I bring close attention to detail to every plan I create. That mindset took root during my time at Lewis & Clark Law School’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic in Portland, where I assisted low-income individuals in resolving disputes with the IRS and learned how much the smallest details can shape an outcome. Defending clients against administrative overreach showed me the real impact that precise, dedicated legal work can have on people’s lives, and I carry that same commitment to my estate planning practice at Schwabe.
Before concentrating my practice on estate planning, I worked at a fast-paced defense firm representing clients with speeding tickets, where I progressed from paralegal to attorney and developed a strong foundation in client advocacy and legal practice. I managed high-volume caseloads spanning more than 25 distinct jurisdictions, performing tasks such as drafting motions, researching legal authority, negotiating with prosecutors, and communicating directly with clients and court administrators. This experience sharpened my ability to stay organized, responsive, and thorough under pressure. I earned my J.D., cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School in May 2025, along with a Certificate in Federal Tax Law. |
Experience
- Presenting oral arguments and negotiating with local prosecutors on behalf of traffic defendants in municipal and district courts
