Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is excited to announce that Michael Robinson is joining the firm, adding to the Real Estate and Construction industry group.

Michael is well-known throughout Oregon for his land use representation, focusing on obtaining land use approvals and highway access permits for commercial, residential and institutional development. With over 25 years of experience, he has worked with a diverse group of clients including energy providers, home builders, and commercial, industrial, hospital and office developers. He represents municipal clients as special land use counsel and appears regularly before local governments and state agencies regarding land use entitlements.

Michael assists private clients in obtaining access approach road permits from the Oregon Department of Transportation and helps his energy provider clients in obtaining Energy Facility Siting Commission permits and solid waste-related permitting. He also has extensive experience with annexations and the preparation of complex development agreements.

Michael is a two-time winner of Best Lawyers’ Portland “Land Use and Zoning Lawyer of the Year” award and has appeared on many local and national top lawyer lists. He has also served on real estate and land use committees for the Oregon State Bar Association.

Robinson graduated cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies as well as a Master of Regional and City Planning degree from the University of Oklahoma.
