Word earlier this morning that Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, Portland’s second-biggest law firm, will restructure its practice resonated through Portland’s legal world.

Essentially, Schwabe will target key industries it believes will drive growth throughout the Pacific Northwest. That means the Portland-based firm has organized its 165 attorneys into teams focusing on six industries: natural resources, health care, technology, manufacturing/distribution, transportation/ports/maritime and real estate/construction.

It’s a big change in an industry not known for making big-time adjustments when it comes to business operations. As such, PBJ readers have flocked to the Schwabe story throughout the day.

Part of the interest could stem from Schwabe’s key role within Portland’s business community. We reached out to the firm to find out about some of their successes—key achievements, notable decisions and clients—over the years. Click HERE to find out about some of those wins.
