We are pleased to announce that Lance Termes has joined our Bend office as an addition to Schwabe’s Healthcare and Technology industry groups.

Lance ‎brings a strong background in strategic patent counseling and patent procurement for clients in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, along with experience in the pharmaceutical drug development process.

Lance’s experience serving as in-house patent counsel at a pharmaceutical company gives him the client’s perspective and an understanding of the client’s business. He provides full-service counseling and comprehensive management for his clients’ large patent portfolios in the fields of immunology, oncology, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical formulation.

Lance has a range of pharmaceutical law experience, such as working on cases involving monoclonal and bispecific antibodies and fusion proteins. His experience also includes biopharmaceutical drug product formulations, genetically engineered cells, and medical devices.

Prior to joining Schwabe, Lance spent ten years in the San Francisco Bay Area at Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP and Alston & Bird LLP representing large pharmaceutical and local biotechnology companies.

Lance received a Bachelor ‎of Science in Chemistry, a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and ‎his JD‎ from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
