Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is excited to announce that Molly Henry is joining the firm’s Seattle office, adding her considerable experience in maritime law to Schwabe’s deep bench in the industry. Schwabe now has one of the largest maritime teams among Pacific Northwest full-service firms, furthering Schwabe’s investment in its Transportation, Ports and Maritime industry group.

Molly focuses on representing vessel owners, operators and their marine underwriters in all aspects of maritime law. She has worked on a variety of cases, including casualty response and investigations, vessel attachments and arrests, commercial disputes and marine related regulatory compliance. Molly has served the interests of members of several of the clubs in the International Group of Protection & Indemnity Clubs, bringing extensive maritime experience to Schwabe’s current clients.

Molly also has significant experience representing banks, broker-dealers and registered persons in litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations. She has successfully defended clients against allegations of fraud, negligence, unsuitability, selling away, and numerous lending related claims. Molly has earned recognition on the Washington Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for Civil Litigation Defense for six years in a row.

Molly graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University as a member of the Order of the Coif with a Juris Doctor degree and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College. She is a member of the Maritime Law Association, the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association and the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington. In her free time, she is a volunteer with the King County Housing Justice Project.
